Ezra Stanton has been a pastor for the past 14 years. Though he and Kendra had never been to Austin, they sensed God was leading them to plant a church here. Nine months they moved their family and 32 other people from the west coast to start Mission Church.

Ezra enjoys spending times with friends and family, exploring Austin, watching SportsCenter, playing golf and new shoes. He is married to his best friend Kendra, and they have two little girls and a brand new baby boy.

WORSHIP Director

What are the best parts about being a part of this church?

I’ve never experienced such a sense of community anywhere else. My favorite part about Mission is that I know that when I walk out of the doors on Sunday afternoon, it’s not the last time I’ll see those faces for a week.

What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about people. I want to see people experience the majesty of God and then live changed lives, transformed by Christ.

What are the best parts about being a part of this church?

We are a family! And just like any family, we are a fun and crazy mixture of personalities, interests, backgrounds, talents... you get what I mean. I love seeing how God uses each of us, in our own unique little ways, to reach others. After all, He created each of us in our uniqueness! This church really does love God (passionately),love people (all people, no matter what), and love life (we have FUN)!

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be on stage. In all honesty, I still do. I love it and I feel at home there. What God has done over the years is very patiently taught me how to let Him use me on any stage!

What is the kindest thing that someone has ever done for you?

My husband let me sleep in! Ha! There's proof that I'm a mommy to young boys- they are our world, but sometimes that world just needs to wait an hour or two. Thank you, Jesse!

PJ Moon and his wife Ashley have been in youth ministry for the past 12 years in the Pacific Northwest and have recently moved to Austin, TX with their English Bulldog named Kevin.

PJ and Ashley both served as youth pastors full-time in the Northwest and helped to pioneer some of the biggest youth camps in the NW district. In the Summer of 2017, they felt the Lord call them back to where PJ grew up, to the great state of Texas.

PJ has a heart to see this generation of people rise up, shift culture and take the gospel to places where it has never been before.
